Insights, Strategy and Project Management Specialist

This candidate has extensive experience working for both Australian and international organisations in the fields of research and insight development, project management and strategic planning. Their experience includes designing, managing and conducting research, extracting insights as well as developing strategic recommendations based on project objectives. They have worked with a multitude of public, NFP and private sector organisations including, but not limited to: The Victorian Department of Education and Training, The Victorian Department of Health, Energy Safe Victoria, Australian Red Cross, The Workwear Group (Wesfarmers), Cobram Olives, Solahart and Hort Innovation. Their experience also extends to helping organisations apply insights and strategy to internal policy development.

In the course of their career, the candidate has played a central project management role, often overseeing large and complex projects, requiring strong interpersonal skills as well as expert and sensitive engagement of both internal and external stakeholders. Beyond communications skills, some of their key strengths include an ability to think both analytically and strategically; being adept at working either collaboratively or independently, as required; a strong and efficient work ethic as well as ethical treatment of work colleagues; adaptability under changing conditions and an ability to show initiative and resourcefulness under pressure.

Key qualifications, registrations and memberships:

•    Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sociology and Communications, completed at University of Tasmania

•    Holds a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (registration #230282899)

•    Full member of the Research Society of Australia, with Qualified Practising Researcher certification (QPR), since 2010

•    Member of the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) with a Certificate in The Essentials of Engagement

•    Currently completing a Certificate IV in Project Management Practice via Link Education

•    Highly IT literate, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint and use of statistical software such as Q and SPSS as well as survey programming software
