Based in Brisbane, this IT/OT Systems Engineer is currently in the final six months of her Masters Degree at QUT (alongside working as a Software Developer at Rio Tinto in Brisbane). Prior to this, she had spent over 11 years working in both underground and open-cut mines in her native Mongolia (all from an IT and OT perspective). Starting in the gold fields and later transitioning to work for Rio Tinto on one of the world’s largest copper deposits (Oyu Tolgoi), her tenure saw her cover a variety of site (and corporate based) technical ecosystems. Although currently studying more in the digital domain (Masters in Software Development), her core skill set still lies within the infrastructure, systems and networking fields.

With her degree set to finish later this year (November/December), she is seeking to transition from academia back into mining and as such is starting to search for her next employment opportunity. Currently on a student visa, once graduated she would be seeking sponsorship so feels now is the best time to start this process (given the potential length of the visa process from a worst-case scenario).

Open to relocate anywhere across Australia for residential, FIFO or corporate-based work, she would make a great asset to any site she’s based at.
