We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Safety Engineer to join our EO team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and reliability of our defence projects, particularly those involving explosive ordnance and transport.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Explosive Ordnance Team in all safety-related activities.
- Develop and implement safety plans and procedures in accordance with MIL-STD-882E standards.
- Conduct safety assessments and hazard analyses for explosive ordnance and transport systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Prepare and present safety documentation and reports to stakeholders.
- Participate in safety reviews and audits.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in systems safety engineering, preferably in the defence sector.
- In-depth knowledge of MIL-STD-882E standards.
- Experience with explosive ordnance and/or transport systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certification in safety engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with safety management systems and tools.
