Our client based in Townsville is seeking an experienced Legal Manager to give advice, lead and manage the legal function of a growing mid-sized business based in North Queensland. This is an exciting time to join this business as the company has doubled in size over the past few years and there are many infrastructure projects on the horizon for them, so it's a great time to join them! Salary on offer is $185-195 plus super.

Under the current structure, the role will report to a CFO and, as the most Senior Legal Professional for the business you will work closely with the CEO and the leadership team providing legal advice and guidance. You will be heavily leant upon for your strong commercial contracts skillset and your role will also include managing a small legal team of 4 which includes management of company secretarial, risk and governance.

To be successful you will be a qualified Senior Lawyer (8+yrs is our min for a stand out, ideally more) and you will have a strong contract law background and have proven experience with leading and mentoring junior lawyers. Ideally you will have some company secretarial experience. You may be inhouse now or in private practice. Some exposure to working with or for Government entities would be viewed favourably.
