Our client is a local government agency based in Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the area of community health projects. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a Senior Project Officer to their team to assist with their early works projects within the local area.

Your new role

As the Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible in assisting with maintenance, minor capital works and other programs including design, budgeting, quality management, and program management. You will ensure all project performance metrics are being met, as well as prepare project reports and documentation for recommendation for capital works. Additionally, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders by provides technical expertise and advice.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of project management regarding the building and construction of public works projects Therefore, you will ideally come from a client-side project management background, with a relevant qualification in the project/construction management field. You will ideally have an understanding of government regulations and guidelines regarding early works projects in Queensland, as well as previous experience using an array of Microsoft Programs to complete regular project reporting. You will also have an advanced level of experience in financial data analysis and program management.

You will be offered an immediate start in a 3-6 month contracted role within a local government agency in Brisbane. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an AO5 hourly rate + super with the possibility of extension.
