Insurance Manager - Not for Profit (Part-time)

Hays are partnering with a large NFP who require an Insurance manager
Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a Not-for-Profit organisation located in Sydney Olympic Park, starting immediately. This organisation provides vital life skills for children, such as learning to tie knots or setting up tents. In this role, you will support the CEO and board in establishing a brand-new insurance program aimed at reducing costs. It’s a great place to work, offering hybrid working arrangements.

This role would suit an experience insurance professional that is close to retirement or is retired and wants a part time position. Someone doing consulting work or a returning parent would also suit this position.
Your new role
Day to day duties will include:
  • Oversee Insurance Coverage by ensuring that the organisation has appropriate and adequate insurance coverage for all its activities, properties, vehicles, and members.
  • Regularly review and renew insurance policies to ensure they meet the organisation's needs.
  • Work closely with the Employed Team, members, insurers, and assessors to ensure a seamless claims process.
  • Assist, support and provide guidance to all stakeholders during claims, providing clarity on processes and requirements.
  • Manage and process insurance claims, working closely with insurers to ensure informed, timely and fair settlements.
  • Work with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders to gather & review information for renewal periods
  • Lead the renewal process to ensure the programme is cost-effective with broad policy cover
  • Manage incident/risk/claim records and other internal registers
  • Support and contribute to various projects or other work as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have;
  • Experience within insurance claims or or broking
  • Expert knowledge of establishing insurance programs
  • Great industry connections and relationships
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement
  • A strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
