National Key Account Manager | Retail; Woolworths. Aldi & Coles | B2B Circular Economy | Crates & Pallets


Your new company

This client offers businesses sustainable reusable plastic crates and pallet solutions used in a circular economy in the supply chain and logistics of products to a broad range of industries and sectors.

The organisation is looking to invest in hiring a new headcount as a national key account manager to look after their enterprise-sized customers in Retail, notably managing existing relationships with Woolworths, Aldi and Coles, with the scope to explore new business opportunities with Costco and Foodstuffs in New Zealand.


Your new role

Lead the customer engagement strategy with groups of enterprise-sized retail customers. Setting out long-term strategic account management plans with each of their major customers; Woolworths, Aldi and Coles.

This will involve quarterly senior-level reviews, identifying growth opportunities and expanding the share of wallet, as well as tactical reviews of performance versus service agreements, solution selling in conjunction with internal stakeholders to provide the very best service for the customer.

Forward planning for upcoming contract renewal well in advance, identifying the needs of the customer and providing solutions to maintain high customer satisfaction to help ensure contract extensions, and potential expansion of revenue and profit lines.

Identifying new account wins, building relationships, understanding customer requirements, influencing specifications and getting invited to tender via RFQ's to help win new work with Costco and Freshstuff in New Zealand.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working in a National Key Account Manager / National Business Manager role, managing major Retail / Grocery Customers
  • While the organisation is a B2B solutions services business in the circular economy, backgrounds in FMCG & Consumer Goods will be highly regarded with direct experience managing customers with Woolworths. Aldi, Coles and Costco.
  • Other service related industries in Supply Chain & Logistics, or Waste Management, accustomed to managing service contract-lead sales agreements could also be considered, if combined with also having managed major retail accounts.
