Specialising in assisting in the implementation of drone and robotic programs with Defence, this Consultancy hold a strong background in developing clear strategies, end-to-end project management, and providing ongoing support within Defence as technology evolves.
The role
You’ll be responsible for performing critical and complex engineering activities including ECPs, CCBs, and SSWGs, liaise with Defence stakeholders and manage below-the-line contractors to gain engineering advice and provide advice on engineering issues whilst under broad direction of the Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Holding accountability for exercising assigned engineering authorities and any Technical Regulatory Authority delegations IAW and LMSM.
- Applying your engineering knowledge and experience to identify key issues and take these into account for planning, decision making, and priority setting,
- Be able to demonstrate electronics-electrical engineering knowledge and provide advice and recommendations on the development of advancements to established engineering principles, techniques, methods, and regulations.
- Create positive relationships with team members, actively participate in teamwork and provide motivation and mentorship to developing engineers.
- Assess technical and design packages including scoping, planning, reviewing, provide recommendations, and contribute to the implementation of actions.
Experience required:
- NV1 security clearance.
- Bachelor of Engineering or recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia.
- Qualifications in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics, Military Systems, Computer Systems, or ICT Engineering.
- Experience working on Sustainment Projects.
- Experience in Defence Tactical Data Links, or secure communications systems in a military environment.
