A government organisation in East Perth are seeking an experienced Project Officer, to support with procurement and contract administration duties. This role is required on an initial temporary contract offered until the end of 2024, with the potential of an extension available. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid competitively.

Your new role

As the Project Officer in the procurement team, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and assessing compliance for commercial contract agreements, ensuring in line with agreed requirements, pricing and milestones
• Participating on quotation and tender evaluation panels
• Liaise with strategic procurement division around contract variations, extensions and compliance requirements
• Update the database accordingly with procurement and contract documentation
• Provide strategic advice and guidance around procurement processes

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered, you will need:

• Previous experience handling procurement, tendering and / or contract management activities
• Previous government experience is preferred, however not essential
• Advanced communication skills with confidence in liaising with key stakeholders
• Advanced attention to detail
