This is an award-winning financial planning and business consultancy practice based in Melbourne, who, due to growth, are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. The company works with an excellent client base of individuals and businesses, offering an integrated, client-focused approach to business solutions and financial advisory. Your new role

This Senior Accountant is required to manage and co-ordinate business services, whilst delivering accounting services to your allocated client base. This will mostly be around handling financial statements and tax returns. You will also be required to:

• Manage the output of an Accountant within your team, including on job training and file reviews, and offer regular guidance.

• Be a good point of contact for your clients for compliance matters, including arranging meetings, phone calls, and emails for correspondence.

• Prepare accounting and tax work for final stage submissions and feedback from internal stakeholders.

• Utilise different systems and technologies to ensure efficiency when conducting compliance and advisory work for clients.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience within a similar accounting practice setting.
• CA/CPA Qualified.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to prepare financial statements and income tax returns for all entity types
• Sound taxation knowledge and understanding of tax planning for small to medium businesses.
• Able to build long-term relationships with clients
