Your new company
The client provides housing assistance, homelessness support services, local government support and advice, state and regional planning. They are looking for a principal disaster coordinator officer to support and improve the unit’s operational resilience during disaster events and business disruption.
Your new role
You will ensure that the company is positioned to deliver on its responsibilities both internally and to their external clients during a disaster event. As the principal coordinator, you will provide high level reporting, coordinate staff deployment, manage logistics, and facilitate meetings and briefings on weather patterns.
Additional responsibilities:
- Provide specialised advice on disruption and disaster management
- Manage the creation and delivery of tools, training, and exercise to enhance the company’s preparedness for disasters and business disruptions
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you have knowledge and previous experience in disaster management, business community engagement, or emergency management. Furthermore, you have program management or project management experience in a construction discipline. Lastly, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
