Your new role
The Project Manager will oversee the delivery of Class 1 and Class 2 residential construction projects with a focus on compliance under the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 and related legislation. In the new year, the primary focus will be on Class 1 duplexes. However, there will be opportunities and a need to work on Class 2 developments.
This role demands leadership, technical expertise, effective project planning, documentation control, and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving project success by managing construction activities, budgets, risks, and timelines.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience of delivering end-to-end Class 2 residential developments.
- Class 1 residential experience is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Cert IV Building and Construction (Building), Diploma Building and Construction (Management) or similar.
- Project management certifications as well as a Builder/ Supervisor Licence, preferred.
- Expertise in the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020, NCC, and Australian Standards.
- Proficiency in construction management software.
- Precision in managing documentation, compliance, budgets, and schedules.
- Proactive approach to addressing challenges and mitigating risks.
- Excellent verbal and written skills for team and stakeholder engagement.
- The ability to inspire and manage diverse teams effectively.
