Your new role
Reporting to the Manager of Communications in Adelaide, the Specialist Communications role is currently available for an experienced communications professional offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract commencing immediately. This position will involve developing quality content with a strong focus on social media, internal communications, creating and implementing communications plans, and acting as a trusted adviser and business partner.
Key Accountabilities
- Create compelling content for social media.
- Drive the creation of video and photographic content for online channels.
- Develop and deliver day-to-day employee and stakeholder communications with a strong editorial focus.
- Identify proactive communication opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to meet business needs.
- Serve as a reliable strategic communications business partner.
- Identify emerging risks or issues that could impact BHP’s reputation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve measurable results.
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent writing skills across all channels.
- Strong understanding of digital tools and platforms, both internal and external.
- Strong understanding of social media and a passion for creating compelling content to engage and grow audiences
- Experience in video production and photography.
- Effective business partnering skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to collaborate and build strong professional networks.
- Experience in issues and stakeholder management.
