A government department in Perth CBD are seeking an experienced Project Officer with government experience, to join the team in supporting a major Energy transition project. You will be initially engaged in a temporary contract, working full-time hours and paying an hourly rate of $61.74 per hour + super.
Your new role
- Provide project, grant management and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans.
- Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices
- Undertake research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning.
- Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
- Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings, preparing papers, ministerial correspondence and general correspondence to support project management delivery.
- Prepares draft Ministerial correspondence, briefing notes, memos, presentations, website content, briefs, and emails, updates data, minute meetings and maintains records
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will need:
- Previous experience working in a similar role in the WA government sector
- Advanced written communication with experience in preparing papers, briefing notes and taking minutes
- Full-time availability
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Excellent digital literacy skills with experience using Smartsheet project management platform/software (desirable)
