Your new company
A state government department based in Claremont, are seeking a number of candidates to consider for a Field Officer position. This role is being offered on a 12-month temporary contract, working full-time hours Monday to Friday. This role will offer a paid training period, and will require you to be available to work starting Monday 2 December.
Your new role
As the Field Officer you will be responsible for driving around multiple site locations including nurseries, farms, residential properties and public parks, collecting samples for the department to analyse. You will be supporting the public with general queries around the nature of the work, as well as adhoc tasks to support the wider logistics team. There will be paid training provided in this role.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will need:
- WA Drivers License (international will not be accepted)
- Excellent people skills with confidence in interacting with members of the public
- Comfortable in driving around for long hours, as well as working outside in hot or rainy conditions
- The ability to provide two employment references, one from the last 12-months
- A background/interest in environmental science, horticulture or closely related fields, is highly desired
