We are seeking a highly skilled Project Delivery Specialist to join the dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of our programs and projects through expert advice, robust governance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert advice and support in scoping program and project work to ensure accurate estimates of scope, schedule, and cost.
• Program and Project Management: Drive core responsibilities including resource management, reporting, project governance, and adherence to project management methodologies and frameworks.
• Process Enhancement: Establish and enhance program and project management standards and procedures, leveraging best practices for continual improvement.
• Leadership: Lead specialised Joint Planning teams and working groups, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage project assumptions, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring effective mitigation strategies.
• Governance Frameworks: Develop, maintain, and drive governance frameworks and processes for program and project management, resource management, and contract management.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to Western Power’s governance frameworks and systems, applying appropriate program and project management principles and techniques.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on the status of programs and projects, analysing business performance and updating data as required.
• Continuous Improvement: Critically assess and implement opportunities for cost, time, and quality improvements in program and project delivery.
• Mentorship: Provide independent advice, mentoring, and support to project teams to enhance delivery outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
Broad and extensive knowledge and expertise in portfolio, programme and project management and or delivery, with experience within government-regulated sectors preferred
Advanced level advanced P6 scheduling / control skill set.
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels of an organisation as well as with external suppliers / provider
Highly developed analytical skills, attention to detail and business acumen
Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills, complimented by highly developed influencing skills.
