You will be working for a department with the SA Government.

Your new role

• Design scalable, modular architectures for data ingestion, storage, taxonomy management, and APIs.
• Produce comprehensive technical specifications, solution architecture documents, risk assessments, and visual artefacts.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency of AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to identify gaps and provide well-defined architectural options.
• Plan and execute integrations with existing systems and ensure interoperability with external systems.
• Implement effective data lifecycle management strategies and adhere to data governance policies.
• Recommend technology stacks, tools, and frameworks, including SaaS product capabilities.
• Provide strategic technology guidance and optimize cloud-based infrastructure for cost efficiency and high performance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in data-intensive or environmental projects.
• Strong capability in designing scalable, modular architectures.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Strong familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Exceptional stakeholder and client engagement skills.
• Proven ability to plan and execute system integrations.
• Experience in data governance and lifecycle management.
• Expertise in recommending technology stacks, tools, and frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, software engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or TOGAF are highly regarded.
