Your new role
- Provide professional, high-quality services across the company cadastral and engineering surveying and mapping.
- Working independently, deliver all cadastral survey projects with the customers’ programs of work.
- Research and conduct cadastral work in accordance with statutory requirements, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with professional and quality standards.
- Provide professional advice to supervisors and customers on moderately complex matters. Provide professional advice to supervisors and customers on moderately complex matters.
- Lead teams on complex technical projects and be accountable for project cost, quality, timeliness, and achievement of scope.
- Co-operate with the other surveyors and team members to ensure the most effective use of resources.
- Train and develop less experienced staff in consultation with the Senior Surveyor.
- Contribute to the achievement of a unit’s business goals and establishing of work programs and practices.
- Consult, liaise and negotiate outcomes with a range of customers and prepare quotations / proposals for customers
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated extensive skills in cadastral and engineering surveying.
- Proven experience of managing complex projects, including managing customer expectations, and delivering project outcomes within time, on cost, to agreed quality, and within scope.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills appropriate to dealing with property owners, members of the public and working in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the development of, and ongoing use of, professional systems, standards, and procedures for cadastral survey work.
- Demonstrated high levels of achievement in managing personal productivity and the operations of a field party and experience in working independently to guide project outcomes.
- The ability to use relevant CAD drafting software, in addition to basic PC skills such as word processing and spreadsheets.
- Co-operate with the other surveyors and team members to ensure the most effective use of resources.
