Our education client based in Dandenong is looking for a purchasing officer on a 5-month initial contract to work within their finance and procurement team.

Your new role

Purchasing Officer

• Timely review and release of accurate and complete institute purchase orders
• Review and maintenance of outstanding orders in conjunction with relevant business areas to ensure commitments are accurate at all times
• Provide quality, responsive and cost-effective procurement services to support the current and evolving business objectives.
• Develop supply relationships to maximise purchasing benefits
• Undertake clearing of purchase orders which are not required any more.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will come with experience of purchasing within a government/educational environment.

Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with clients by phone, email and in person.
