Your new role

As a Manager with the audit function, you will oversee the planning and execution of audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across Melbourne and the wider Australian market. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies, while managing the output of a small team to deliver high-quality services. Key responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, identifying risk areas, and providing strategic recommendations to improve financial processes. The role also involves client relationship management, mentoring junior staff, and staying updated with industry developments to maintain the firm's competitive edge.


What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you have gained:

  • Strong, client facing auditing experience from a top-20 practice in Australia. You can also be considered for this role if you have gained overseas experience, working for a reputable practice and have the right to work in Australia.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Experience taking on complex audit work for large clients, ideally $50m+ in T/O.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong regulatory and legislative knowledge, staying up-to-date with new financial and tax laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
