An expanding logistics organisation headquartered in Cairns is seeking an IT Support Engineer. Tasked with supporting a variety of technologies and projects that underpin the running and operation of this organisation, this is an immediate start with the potential to go permanent!
Your new role
Founded and headquartered in Cairns, this organisation serves the needs of all those who call Far North Queensland home. Offering freight and transit operations to many, the services on offer are crucial to the running of the region.
Your new role within this diverse organisation will see you work within the dedicated multidisciplinary IT Team to support, manage and upgrade the infrastructure, systems and networking technologies in use. Whilst supporting staff throughout the region, you will be working from their Cairns based HQ.
Working within this team of technical professionals, your day-to-day responsibilities will see you conduct support from a Level 1 - Level 3 perspective (dependent upon your skill set). This will involve everything including password resets, printer fixing, desktop configuration, hardware rollouts and everything in-between. Alongside these support/BAU activities there will also be project based work whether that be cloud migrations (365, Azure, etc), platform implementations/roll outs (MS Dynamics, etc) or any other digital transformation/uplift piece.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience across as much of the following as possible:
- The Microsoft eco system – Windows Servers and Desktop OS (such as Windows Server 2019, 2016, 2012 R2, Windows 10, etc), Microsoft 365, SCCM, SQL Server, etc
- Configuration of networking/infrastructure platforms (Switches, Routers, Access Points, etc)
- Hardware (Desktops, Laptops, Mobile Devices etc) maintenance and deployment/rollouts
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Technical mindset
- Working with stakeholders at all levels
- Perfect communication skills (written and verbal)
NOTE:
- Full Australian working rights are required
- Applicants need to be currently residing in Cairns (those outside will not be considered for this position)
