You will be working for one of the largest energy/oil and gas companies in the world. Based in Melbourne’s inner west, this successful organisation specialises in producing high quality oil and lubricants for a range of different clients.

Your new role

This is a rare opportunity for a Process Chemist with 2 + years’ experience in a laboratory environment dealing with oil and lubricants. This role will be working on an afternoon shift schedule and will be for a 6-month duration with the possibility for extension. You will be ensuring all raw materials (additives and base oils), and lubricants manufactured and warehoused by the facility are tested to the required technical specifications.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 2+ Years' Experience as a Process Chemist in an oil/lubricant laboratory environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing control laboratory
  • Sound working knowledge of general laboratory practices and procedures
  • A good understanding of scientific principles and an ability to apply these to the work environment
  • Good knowledge of computers and competent mathematical skills
  • Experience with quality records and Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 17025)
