Your new role

Working closely with the directors of the company, you will take responsibility for producing accurate quantity take-offs along with setting budgets for luxury residential builds. You will also price variations and ensure trades and materials are allocated to the projects. Being a smaller company, you will enjoy a multi-faceted role with hands-on site interaction; understanding of plans, rough ins, assisting the Site Manager with quality control, check lists, inspections and walk-throughs. This is a long-term career position with career progression into Project Management should you so desire it.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience in a similar capacity, ideally in luxury home construction as an Estimator. Although if you are a trade qualified carpenter with a desire to build a career in Estimating, (who can do take-offs), then you’re also encouraged to apply. You will also possess excellent time management skills, be able to communicate & plan effectively with a high attention to detail.

What you'll get in return

A competitive salary package is on offer commensurate with experience, the previous incumbent was on a $90k base which is a good indicator, possibly more for the right person. This role can be either full-time or part if you prefer, a minimum of 3 days per week is required, while working in the office is essential, especially in your probation period.
