This high-profile Federal Government Department works with their partners to enable connected, sustainable and culturally vibrant communities in our cities, regions and territories to improve lives in Australia. They are seeking an EL1 Regulation and Compliance Auditor to join a new section to develop and implement a regulatory operating model that incorporates assurance and compliance activities.

Your new role

Reporting to a Director, you will assist with a variety of duties and responsibilities that will include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of operations.
  • Evaluate compliance with applicable legislation and policies.
  • Identify and report on areas of non-compliance and potential risks.
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions to address compliance issues.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior executives.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure implementation of audit recommendations.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in your new position, you will have previous experience in a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have strong interpersonal skills, strong communication skills both written and verbally, knowledge of QMS related data systems, the ability to strategically think and provide innovative solutions for complex regulatory policy issues, the ability to work in a team and independently and be self-motivated.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
