About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Investment and Portfolio Planning plays a critical role in ensuring that SA Housing Trust delivers key elements of the SA Government Housing Roadmap to get more people into affordable and public homes. This role acts as the custodian of the Trust’s Strategic Asset Management Framework and is accountable for the delivery of asset strategies, planning, and analysis to ensure the Trust is positioned for future housing delivery and continues to mature its asset management system.

The role reports to the Executive Director, Property Services and requires regular contact with the wider executive leadership team at the SA Housing Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a robust strategic asset management framework that connects stakeholders across departments and ensure the goals of the strategic asset management strategy are met.
  • Work through boundaries and lead through influence to implement strategy into action with a focus on outcomes, including change management, project management, communication, and engagement.
  • Oversee the assessment and decision-making processes for assets, including chairing the Trust’s Asset Decision Group.
  • Look both internally and externally to industry to formulate a best-in-class strategic direction for current and future housing needs, including maintenance and operational approaches for the portfolio.
  • Lead a highly engaged and skilled team that fosters connected relationships with other agencies and external specialists to achieve innovative approaches to service delivery.
  • Provide high level state-wide advice on the implications and risks arising from asset management activities and formulate all actions with clear technical expertise and governance at the forefront.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Sound knowledge and experience in asset management and government policy in an urban planning or development context.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in feasibility analysis and presentation to stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in implementing strategy and the implementation of new and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated senior level experience in establishing networks and relationships with a diverse range of individuals to generate benefits for the organisation now and into the future
