Your new role

The Digital Communications Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Council's digital channels enhance their communications and engagement with the community, staff and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Keeping Council's core digital assets (including external websites, the Councillor portal and staff intranet, as well as social media) up to date and compliant with accessibility and usability requirements.

  • Development of engaging social media content, e-newsletters, video content, apps, and other social media tools.

    What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience with CMS systems, e.g. SharePoint

  • Skills with email newsletter platforms, e.g. MailChimp

  • Experienced managing social media platforms, e.g. Facebook

  • Able to write and edit compelling communications content
