Your new role
Reporting to the General Counsel/Company Secretary, you will ensure the organization’s legal and corporate governance compliance. You will deliver expert legal advice on diverse corporate matters and support strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:- Advising on contracts, procurement, governance, and compliance.
- Representing the organisation in legal proceedings and mediation.
- Drafting and reviewing agreements to meet compliance standards.
- Assisting with corporate governance and board reporting.
- Collaborating on insurance and risk-related enquiries.
What you'll need to succeed
Success in this role requires strong legal acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively while engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications and skills:- Bachelor of Law (LLB) or equivalent, with admission or eligibility to the Supreme Court of Tasmania or Victoria.
- Experience in legal services, ideally in corporate or in-house environments.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing complex compliance issues.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- High attention to detail with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
