A renowned State Government Transport Authority is seeking an Asset Data Collection Officer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in establishing, implementing, managing, and continuously improving transport asset data acquisition and assessment methodologies. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality asset data sets to the Asset Information Function.

Your new role
As an Asset Data Collection Officer, you will be responsible for the following below:

  • Driving Project Success: Contributing to the successful management and delivery of various asset data collection projects, focusing on scope, time, cost, and quality management.
  • Preparing Project Scopes: Developing project scopes based on the selected procurement/collection options.
  • Validating Data: Ensuring data submissions meet requirements, focusing on asset data such as road data, bridges, and structural components
  • Generating Insights: Creating descriptive statistics and relevant data visualisations to support decision-making, guided by subject-matter experts. Proficiency in advanced Excel formulas, pivot tables, and data chart generation is essential.

What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, candidates should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Project Management, Data, and/or Information & Knowledge Management relevant to asset data acquisition.
  • Experience in Project Delivery/Contract Management, including working with third-party contractors under a recognised quality system framework.
  • Proven experience in the safe and efficient delivery of asset data collection work scopes for road and/or rail transport infrastructure.
