This global mining company is looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their small, collaborative team at their stunning headquarters in Perth CBD. You will also have the option to work from home up to 2 days a week, making this the perfect option for those looking for a good level of flexibility and work/life balance.
This is a high-volume transactional role where you will be looking after the purchasing of goods and services for one of their sites.
Your duties will include:
- Issue RFQ’s to both Australian and International suppliers.
- Liaise with the project team to define product and services scope and specifications for the RFQ’s
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and service providers to obtain the lowest cost.
- Ensure compliance with budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of supply agreements
- Assist with the establishment of suppliers in Master data.
- Raise POs in SAP.
Key Attributes
- Previous similar experience gained in a mining company or similar.
- Recent SAP and Ariba experience.
- Able to work in a high-performance environment.
- Work autonomously as required.
- Experience in the procurement of goods and services.
- Demonstrate financial management.
- Demonstrate high levels of initiative.
- Full Working rights
This role is based in Perth CBD, but you can also work from home up to 2 days a week.
The contract is expected to last a minimum of 9 months but may become permanent for the right person.
The hourly rate is $55ph + super.
