Fantastic Opportunity for a Commercial Leading Hand on the Sunshine Coast

The Company:
We have two fantastic opportunities to join a high-performing team on a landmark project: c.$100M hotel project on the Sunshine Coast. This is a 13-story luxury project, with a high-end level of finishes, it will not be for the faint-hearted, but if you’re driven and want to build a career in Commercial Construction, then this is the opportunity for you.

With some fantastic mentors and being such an iconic project, there is no doubt your next role …will be a Foreman position with a generous salary increase.

Your Duties:
  • Assisting the Structures Foreman with daily tasks in a trade-based leadership role, assisting with the coordination of trades
  • Assisting the Finishing Foreman with overseeing all internals with a focus on the Units
  • On the tools, usual Leading Hands Duties
  • Providing day-to-day direction, supervision, and management of on-site trades.
  • Directing and endorsing policy to fulfil objectives and achieve specific goals.
  • Reporting to and assisting site managers.
  • Provide hands-on assistance where required.
  • Monitor on-site compliance and safety.
Experience Required:
  • Trade qualified Carpenter (Fit out Type Carpenter ideally)
  • Formwork experience
  • Experience on large commercial projects is well regarded but not essential.
  • Great working attitude, driven, not afraid of big hours and hard work.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to be hands-on
  • Prior commercial experience as a leading hand
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong sense of teamwork
  • Proven ability to constantly deliver high quality construction projects within budget and program constraints
