Your new role
As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for application configuration, implementation, training, and testing of new/current corporate software, delivering enhancements, upgrades, and integration of new and existing software. You will perform systems development, improvement, integration, and support, investigate software application problems and opportunities, diagnose root causes, and resolve associated issues to get projects delivered, and to minimise service disruption. You will participate in planning, building and implementation of strategic transformation initiatives and projects.
Role and responsibilities
- Plan and implement regular system upgrades to leverage the new features and upgrades of the Business Systems to enhance service continuity.
- Ensure unimpaired day-to-day operations and administration of the Business Systems.
- Work collaboratively with vendors and stakeholders to ensure that systems and business requirements are met.
- Develop program logic for new applications or analyse and modify logic in existing applications.
- Implement changes to the organisation's enterprise business systems in accordance with change management procedures.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, particularly those affecting with the Business Systems.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge based articles, user manuals and other documentation to support the Business Systems.
- Determine the root cause of issues, address those issues, and communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement enhancements, revisions to meet the needs of the internal user community.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven application configuration and/or development experience and ability to design and develop application integrations, particularly with ERP platforms and integration with ERPs via APIs, ETLs, etc.
- Working knowledge of SQL Databases, Stored procedures, Functions and Views etc.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Azure Fundamentals.
- Demonstrated experience in TechnologyOne ERP and Azure Logic App.
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments with hands-on knowledge of DevOps or similar CI/CD methodology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage third party vendors regarding system improvements, issue resolution, project timelines, and availability.
- Participation in on-call arrangements may be required for this position.
- Working with Children Check.
- Working knowledge in the Microsoft Power Platform, MS PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerBI, SharePoint and O365 Administration will be advantageous.
What you'll get in return
