Our client is the state's largest healthcare provider who are committed to ensuring all Queenslanders have access to a range of public healthcare services. Based out of Cairns, our client is looking for a Program Manager with digital health program/project experience.
Your new role
The Digital Health Program manager for Innovation and Governance holds a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic development and effective implementation of digital health initiatives and programs. This encompasses critical projects such as the integration of an electronic medical record solution.
The manager actively engages in diverse forums to establish and sustain stakeholder relationships. In addition to ensuring successful procurement and delivery, the role focuses on optimising governance structures, mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of innovation within the organisation. The manager plays a central role in coordinating key activities that significantly contribute to patient and business outcomes, healthcare delivery, and the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
The successful candidate for this role will navigate complex challenges with agility, champion a culture of innovation, facilitate collaboration across diverse domains, and enhance digital health maturity to drive excellence in digital health services.
- Establish governance structures and processes to ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to digital innovation, data protection, and cybersecurity.
- Manage, identify, develop, and plan deliverables and resources required to ensure the successful establishment, implementation and adoption
- Manage business change activities including business change management, benefits realisation, communications, stakeholder engagement and training.
- Undertake risks and issues identification, assessment and risk mitigation strategies
- Initiate, influence and maintain effective and collegial relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
- Possession of a tertiary degree in a relevant field
- Experience delivering digital projects in a healthcare setting
- A current foundation/practitioner certification in one or more of the following AXELOS methodologies: PRINCE2 project management methodology, MSP program management methodology
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions, and legislative frameworks within the ICT/ digital environment with the capacity to successfully adapt and adopt them in the healthcare environment.
- Skills and expertise in Governance, policy, and auditing.
