A reputable Brisbane-based financial services organisation is seeking a permanent Information Security Specialist to join their team. Working from Brisbane, you will play a crucial role in driving the company’s cyber security initiatives and ensuring the safeguarding of their financial services and customer data.

Your new role

This role is 70% GRC (ISO) and 30% supporting the wider ICT/Cyber landscape. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Analysing and assessing security requirements, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and recommending appropriate solutions
• Assisting in achieving ISO 27001 certification by developing and implementing security controls and processes
• Working closely with various business units and contractors to support and implement cyber security best practices
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards by developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies and procedures
• Monitoring networks and systems for security incidents, conduct investigations, and respond to incidents using tools like Rapid7, Crowdstrike, and Microsoft Defender
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong stakeholder engagement
• Ability to immediately contribute to and lead ISO27001 initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and agile attitude
• Familiarity with cyber security frameworks and best practices

You will be offered a permanent role with an established financial services business in Brisbane with the opportunity to establish and shape this role within the organisation. Annual salary between $100K - $120K inclusive of super and flexible WFH arrangements.
