Develop and implement a top-tier training and coaching framework for both technical and soft skills within the Financial Lines Claims team, focusing on Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines risks. This framework will ensure regulatory compliance, enhance technical capabilities, and improve decision-making processes, ultimately empowering team members to achieve their full potential.

Your new role

  • Align with key stakeholders to identify and address current and future capability needs, designing strategic learning programs that enhance both technical skills and complex claims management.
  • Showcase business value by integrating learning, communication, and capability delivery within the Commercial Claims business, ensuring effective and sustainable frameworks.
  • Deploy timely learning resources using business intelligence and expert knowledge to minimise operational disruptions.
  • Develop and support the Commercial Claims technical team, in partnership with the National Manager, to cultivate a high-performing and engaging environment.
  • Oversee the execution of training, development, and mentoring programs, guiding team members through the Technical Career Path.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge repository for the Commercial Claims team, providing access to legal advice, case history, and AFCA determinations for self-learning.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • 5–10 years of experience in claims management of professional indemnity and financial lines risks.
  • Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement and management, building trustful relationships through personal credibility.
  • Experience in coaching and people development.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at collaborating with all leadership levels, and showcasing a pragmatic, commercial approach to learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including consultative interviewing, presentation, report writing, and facilitation.
  • Strong customer service orientation - able to understand client needs and consistently aim to exceed expectations.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
