Hays has partnered with a market leading owner/developer to find an experienced Leasing Executive to join their leasing team. Based in Sydney's West, this owner/developer owns over thirty shopping centres across Australia and is looking to expand their retail presence further.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Property, you will be working to expand tenants in retail centres across NSW.
Day to day you will:
- Work with the Property Team to establish a strategic direction, annual plans and budgets for leasing of the commercial properties and sundry properties.
- Develop and maintain a high degree of expertise in lease management, including liaison with existing and prospective tenants to enhance retention and minimise downtime.
- Develop and maintain a leasing and marketing strategy for each property.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly leasing reports with commentary.
- Monitor and control tenant rental arrears and ensure rent reviews are actioned in a timely manner.
- Prepare full business cases, cash flow analyses and commercially sound recommendations for any leasing proposal, including operating capital and tenant incentives.
- Managing the leasing process including negotiation of terms with tenants, and appointment and management of external leasing agents.
- Liaise with tenants on fitout and make good as part of contractual negotiations.
- Keep current with all major property markets and regularly meet with agents to understand emerging trends.
- Develop and manage key tenant/stakeholder/service provider partnerships to ensure delivery, on time and on budget, and exceptional customer experience.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to have at least five years experience working in a similar role.
The ideal candidate would be:
- Strong leasing experience and demonstrated results in negotiating and finalising lease transactions, as well as effective and impactful communication skills.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management, multitasking and management of priorities.
- Practical knowledge of property-related compliance
- Class 1 NSW Driving Licence
What you'll get in return
If you are successful in this role, you will be joining a tight-knit team and working out of luxury offices in Western Sydney. You will work Monday to Friday and earn up to $120k/year (inc super, experience depending).
