Our State Government Department client based in the CBD are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join their busy Finance team.
Your new role
- Prepare and review financial statements, including footnote disclosures.
- Supervise daily operations such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct variance analysis and cash forecasting.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Direct and supervise accounting staff.
- Assign projects and ensure accuracy and compliance
What you'll need to succeed
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA are often preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance management roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
