Our State Government Department client based in the CBD are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join their busy Finance team.

Your new role

• Prepare and review financial statements, including footnote disclosures.
• Supervise daily operations such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct variance analysis and cash forecasting.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Direct and supervise accounting staff.
• Assign projects and ensure accuracy and compliance

What you'll need to succeed

• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA are often preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance management roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
