This Australian-owned business provides services and products to clients and partners to aid in various projects in a range of industries. They are seeking a Payroll/Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit Finance team in their office 5 days a week. An easy, convenient commute if based in the Hunter Valley region.
Your new role
Due to a growing team, this role has been created to assist the payroll/accounts manager to:
- Process a weekly pay run for a small volume of employees
- Process very manual timesheets to be coded and approved
- Be involved in a small system-related project, i.e. upgrading current payroll software
- Rest of the week will be duties related to Accounts Payable and other account adhoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
- Knowledge and experience in payroll processing as well as AP
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work in-office full time
- Desire and commitment to learn new skills in payroll and accounts
- Strong communication skills and able to work closely with a team
- Able to work autonomously
