What you'll need to succeed

• Comprehensive understanding of relevant portfolio legislation and other legislation of general application

• Strong legal advice writing and research skills.

• Detailed understanding of policy, program, and operations.

• The ability to work independently and escalate matters only as required.

• Demonstrated the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.

• A degree in law from an Australian university as well as a practising certificate with at least two years post-admission experience.

• You must be currently engaged in the APS and eligible for a section 26 transfer and hold a current baseline clearance.
