We are on the hunt for skilled Panel Beaters/Spray Painters or experienced Motor Assessors to join my clients' Motor Assessing tea. Your role will be to meticulously evaluate vehicle damage, determine the most efficient and secure repair solutions, and ensure optimal outcomes for customers while maintaining a balanced approach to meeting business requirements.

Your new role

  • Assess Damaged Vehicles: Thoroughly inspect vehicles that have sustained damage to determine the extent and nature of the damage.
  • Determine Necessary Repairs: Identify and outline the specific repairs needed to restore the vehicle to its pre-accident condition.
  • Estimate Associated Costs: Calculate the costs involved in carrying out the necessary repairs, including labour, parts, and any additional expenses.
  • Review Quotes or Images: Examine quotes provided by repair shops and images of the damaged vehicles to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of repair quoting packages and industry standards to ensure accurate and reliable assessments.
  • Document Findings: Prepare detailed reports documenting the damage assessment, repair recommendations, and cost estimates.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, explaining the assessment process, repair recommendations, and cost estimates.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest advancements in vehicle repair techniques and technologies.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Industry trade qualified (mandatory).
  • Experience and current knowledge of the motor body repair industry (mandatory).
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both face-to-face with colleagues and over the phone with customers.
  • Effectively prioritise and manage time in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Maintain a calm and composed demeanour, effectively diffusing conflicts and tackling challenges with an open-minded approach.
  • Show maturity in discussing both successes and areas for improvement.
  • Possess intermediate computer skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and navigate multiple systems comfortably.
