Your new company
A state government organisation in O'Connor, are seeking a skilled technical candidate to support them with fleet design and delivery activities within the team. This role is being offered on a temporary engagement initially until the end of June, however with a plan to extend this contract further if you are the right person for the job. You will be required to work full-time hours Monday to Friday, and will be paid a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
As the Fleet Design and Delivery Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Plans and manages the annual emergency fleet replacement program, including liaising with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Monitors\ and report on project compliance and progress, addressing non-compliance issues and escalating as needed.
- Coordinates commissioning and delivery of completed assets, finalising project records and providing end-user instructions.
- Develops and maintains technical specifications, prepares tender documents, and evaluates responses to support procurement and quality assurance.
- Provides technical advice and support for asset design projects, including research, development, and resolving technical issues with suppliers.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will need:
- A relevant engineering and/or motor trade qualification
- Possession of a current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence for the duration of employment (essential requirement)
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to plan, implement and monitor projects and programs of work.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Design Rules and other standards, relative to heavy vehicle manufacture.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
