The Company
Our client is an established commercial construction client with strong experience in unit developments, aged care facilities, education projects, and government facilities. They are currently seeking an experienced leading hand to assist them on a significant project in Maryborough. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the company, and work towards progression into a site supervisor.

Duties

• Providing day-to-day direction, supervision, and management of onsite trades
• Reporting to and assisting the site manager.
  
• Provide hands-on assistance where required.
  
• Directing and endorsing policy to fulfil objectives and achieve specific goals
• Monitor onsite compliance and safety, including assisting with inductions and reviewing SWMS.

Experience Required

• Trade Qualification and background in Carpentry.
• QBCC Supervisor Licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Senior First Aid, or First Aid Training (or willingness to obtain) highly desired
• Prior commercial experience as a leading hand on commercial projects – in particular government projects
• Thorough knowledge of the drawings, specifications, and quality requirements for all site-related activities
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to be hands-on with proven leadership experience
• Attention to detail
• Strong sense of teamwork
• Proven ability to constantly deliver high-quality construction projects within budget and program constraints.
