My client is a multinational leading provider of essential services compliance solutions, dedicated to ensuring the safety, reliability, and maintenance of building essential services. They work with multi-site property owners and managers to deliver top-notch compliance programs and services.
I am seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Victorian Essential Services Consultant to join their team. This role involves business development, client relationship management, and delivering high-quality, timely services. The consultant will play a key role in supporting compliance programs (ACP) and providing expert guidance on essential service compliance to both employees and clients.
Your new role
Support compliance programs using the proprietary Essential Services Certification Program (ESCPro) and other specialised software tools.
Coordinate compliance efforts, working closely with colleagues, external contractors, and clients to achieve annual certification and regulatory compliance.
Conduct initial site surveys, confirm existing essential safety measures, and prepare Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
Conduct inspections of Essential Services, prepare site inspection reports, and follow up on contractors’ reporting.
Coordinate and/or conduct System Interface Testing, including after-hours testing as required.
Assist clients with queries and requests, ensuring compliance excellence.
Be a client-facing company representative to maintain relationships and develop new business.
Assist in targeting potential new clients such as Building Owners, Building Operations Managers, and Facility Managers.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant experience in essential services compliance or a related field.
Develop a detailed understanding of legislative requirements for essential services maintenance in Victoria and other Australian states.
Strong understanding of compliance requirements and standards. Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant maintenance codes and standards (AS 1851 – 2012, AS2293.2-2019).
Understand design and installation performance standards for essential services.
Read and understand Fire Engineering Reports, Cause & Effect Matrices, Annual Compliance Surveys, and smoke hazard management test results.
Maintain a professional demeanour when interacting with clients and contractors.
Work independently and under direction as required.
Possess good interpersonal skills and maintain the integrity and reputation of the company.
