Your new role

Get ready to dive into a dynamic and multifaceted role where you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and innovation. As a Systems Engineer, you will be involved with the key tasks below, alongside being trained to ultimately lead your own project(s) over the subsequent 12 months.

  • Defining System Requirements: Perform in-depth requirements analysis, write detailed documentation, and ensure traceability to create robust system requirements.
  • Designing Systems: Create comprehensive system diagrams, interconnection diagrams, IP plans, dial plans, and feature design documents to bring your vision to life.
  • Conducting System Tests and V&V: Develop and execute test procedures for Production Acceptance Testing, Systems Integration Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing, and Site Acceptance Testing to ensure top-notch performance.
  • Hardware Installation and Software Configuration.
  • Providing Training: Deliver engaging and informative training sessions for end-users and maintainers to ensure they are fully equipped to use and maintain the systems.
  • Attending Customer Sites, including opportunities to travel across Australia (or even overseas!). This includes support project activities, including requirements meetings, product demonstrations, installations, and customer test and acceptance events.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Systems Engineer on multiple projects, and take the lead on small to intermediate projects to drive success.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor of Engineering or similar degree in Electronics or Communications (or similar).

  • Australian Citizenship - mandatory (existing NV1 clearance highly regarded)

  • Part or full systems engineering lifecycle / systems engineering methodology such as; customer needs, system requirements, system design and/or system test

  • Experience with requirements reviews, design reviews and/or test and acceptance events with the customer

  • Experience working with Linux

  • Exposure to IP networking concepts, Virtual Machines, Computer Hardware is highly regarded.

  • Exposure to Radio communications and/or telephony such as VOIP is highly regarded.
