Hays Technology has partnered with our key enterprise client in Brisbane to appoint a Senior Business Analyst to an initial 6-month contract.

Your new role

As Business Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and support a large transformation program. This includes influencing the positioning of ICT business analysis with customers and technical staff in terms of their attitude to detailed analysis, to ensure a balance between technology excellence with the optimum financial fit and required corporate outcomes.

• Strategically analyse business requirements, existing processes and existing systems
• Influence customers and technical staff to explore business issues systematically and consider a range of innovative options to resolve and negotiate complex strategic solutions across multiple business areas
• Utilise expert business analysis capability to capture, explore, identify, analyse, articulate and document business problems, issues and needs
• Contribute and influencing the development of business cases, benefit versus cost scenarios and preliminary high-level option envelopes that clearly demonstrate the value propositions of possible solutions

What you'll need to succeed

• Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, consult, coordinate and deliver substantial business analysis and solution conceptualisation in a large, diverse and complex organisation
• Expert analytical and diagnostic skills, together with the ability to apply that knowledge and experience to the areas of process analysis, cost benefits analysis and business systems analysis
• Extensive experience in the evaluation and assessment of tender and contract documentation, including evaluation of vendor responses
• Demonstrated extensive experience in preparing high-quality business analysis artefacts such as business requirements, functional requirements, process maps and models, business rules, business cases, options papers and test scenarios.
