Hays Technology are currently partnered with a well-established State Government Department to appoint an experienced Solution Architect to a contract until 31 December with a potential extension.

Your new role

• Completion of a technology landscape review for current data lake platform and broader ecosystem.
• Develop and document all work in line with established organisation and whole of Government Enterprise Architecture processes, and recommend appropriate standards and protocols needed to establish industry standard and best practice architecture.
• Collaboration with team members and various business areas to ensure best practice design and build is defined and agreed.
• Recommend best practice standards and protocols for data integration and ingestion, with defined set of tools to enable a self-serve unified experience.
• Research, analyse, interpret and report on a range of possible solutions in relation to the data capability project, relevant to the associated deliverables, and develop schedules, status reports and Risk Management reports, on solution architecture deliverables in order to meet business requirements and expectations of the Project Manager.data

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in attaining this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience working with data architectural design, patterns, frameworks and guiding artefacts, in large, complex organisations.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performing data platforms in large and complex environments.
• Demonstrated experience of strong leadership, collaboration, and technical expertise, with a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams toward high-impact outcomes.
• Demonstrated evidence of stakeholder engagement across data platform projects, fostering collaboration and aligning project objectives with business needs.
• Awareness of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF and QGEA) is desirable.
