An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer to join a dynamic team within a State Government department. This role is for a 3-month period and requires a professional who can deliver high-quality business and administration services.

Your new role

As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and delivering responsive business and administration services in a professional, efficient, and effective manner.

  • Coordinating and supporting the delivery of ministerial and executive correspondence.

  • Processing and recording divisional correspondence across various platforms, including SharePoint.

  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders to ensure responsiveness and meet or exceed timeframes.

  • Managing correspondence and associated processes in accordance with agency standards and guidelines.

  • Ensuring effective systems and processes are in place to manage all aspects of document control, including dispatch, receipt, monitoring, and follow-up.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in providing high-level administrative services.

  • High organisational skills and experience in managing systems and processes.

  • The ability to prioritise competing tasks and priorities.

  • The capacity to work through periods of high pressure.

  • The ability to work with a range of important stakeholders, applying tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

  • Competence in the use of online records management systems.

  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Experience in dealing with issues that are of a sensitive nature.
