Your new role
As a Debt Collections Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and recovering outstanding debts while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and empathy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contacting clients to discuss overdue payments and arrange repayment plans.
- Negotiating payment terms and settlements in a respectful and understanding manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of all communications and transactions.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless and supportive approach to debt recovery.
- Providing regular reports on collection activities and progress.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in debt collection or a related field.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to dealing with clients.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools.
- Prior experience in Not-For-Profit is highly regarded.
