Your new company
A government department is seeking an experienced traffic manager to step into the role of Incident Response Crew Officer. This role would require you to work on a 24/7 roster, with typical shifts commencing between 4am - 7.30pm. You will be working alternative hours, with overtime paid when applicable. To be considered for this role, you must have the flexibility to work on this arrangement, and will also be able to commence in May.
Your new role
- Patrol roads to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Set up or remove temporary traffic management as needed, ensuring safety and traffic flow is managed
- Inform road users about traffic changes and delays.
- Communicate road and traffic information to the main centre
- Participate in incident debriefs.
- Activate incident response plans with relevant authorities.
- Liaise with emergency services.
- Develop solutions for road safety during incidents
- Provide support and first aid to those affected by road incidents.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, it is essential that you have:
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management
- Provide First Aid – HLTAD011 (or equivalent)
- Operate Truck Mounted Attenuator – RIIRTM301E
- White card
- Unlimited work rights (no working holiday or student visas will be considered)
- The ability to provide a National Police Clearance and 2 recent employment references
