Your new role

• Working on underground and mining equipment

• Completing breakdowns and preventative maintenance

• Attending toolbox talks and reporting health and safety concerns

• Reading and interpreting plans

• Perform bench work tasks, including assembly, disassembly, cleaning, measuring, inspection, testing, and modifications.

• Participate in risk assessments, job procedure development, and complete Take 5 forms before starting tasks.

• Maintain documentation, service records, tools, and workspaces according to procedures.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Mechanical Trade Qualification

• Driver’s licence and reliable transport

• Contactable references

• Ability to complete police check

• Living locally in the Mackay region
  
  

What you'll get in return

If you’re successful in this position, you will be working in a busy workshop in Paget. You will be paid an attractive hourly rate, with additional benefits and super. This position will see you working Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day and you will receive a weekly pay. If you’re the right fit for our client, they will also have the opportunity to transition you into a permanent role at any time.
