A leading national banking organisation based in Brisbane is seeking a permanent Cloud Engineer to join their team. This role will involve building modern data platforms using GCP services.

Your new role

You will help build a central data platform using existing technologies within a hybrid cloud environment. Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

• Design, build, test, and support secure and scalable data tools
• Solve complex engineering problems
• Collaborate effectively within various teams
• Utilise tools and practices to build, verify, and deploy solutions efficiently, with a strong emphasis on software fundamentals
• Provide ongoing support for platforms as needed, including problem and incident management

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience using GCP services and have experience delivering solutions in a complex enterprise environment.

• Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
• Primary proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with Containerisation Technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong emphasis on code and configuration management, CI/CD automation, and automated testing
